Art Therapy

 

Art therapy is an active process that can enhance awareness, healing and well-being, providing a visual doorway into emotions, perspectives and solutions.​ It allows safe access to feelings, thoughts and experiences.

 

Art therapy doesn't require artistic skill on the client's part. People of all ages and backgrounds use art therapy to:

  • Try out new forms of self-expression

  • Gain access to emotions

  • Grapple with conflicts

  • Assimilate current and past events

  • Deal with injury and illness

  • Strengthen sense of identity
